Six Flags Qiddiya City can accommodate almost 10,000 visitors per day, Rotana Khalejia TV reported, citing Abdullah Aldawood, Managing Director of Qiddiya Investment Co. (QIC).
The ticket pricing policy is based on a single all-inclusive ticket that allows unlimited access to all rides. A pay-per-ride model has been proposed but wa rejected. The approach QIC adopted aims to strike a balance between financial sustainability and operational quality without imposing high costs on visitors, the top executive explained.
Aldawood added that QIC took different segments into account in its ticket pricing. The ticket for senior citizens was set at SAR 75, entry is free for children under four years old, tickets for children aged four to 10 are priced at SAR 275, and tickets for people with disabilities and their companions are priced at SAR 75. In addition, family and group packages are available, along with periodic promotional offers on tickets.
The Qiddiya project seeks to establish itself as the next global hub for entertainment, sports, and culture, underpinned by a long-term vision focused on economic diversification and the growth of the entertainment, sports, and gaming sectors.
He explained that Qiddiya is built on a visitor economy model and is expected to contribute more than SAR 2.5 billion to GDP from operational activities, in addition to creating 7,000 jobs during the current year.
By 2030, the project aims to create more than 85,000 jobs and contribute SAR 44 billion to GDP.
The project will be rolled out in three key phases. The first phase, slated for 2028, will comprise Six Flags, Aquarabia, the Speed Park, the National Tennis Complex, and a golf course, in addition to 15 hotels and several residential units. He added that Aquarabia is expected to open after the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr.
The second phase, planned for 2030, will feature Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium, the Performing Arts Centre, Dragon Ball Theme Park, and an esports-dedicated arena, alongside a number of hotels and residential developments.
The third phase will align with Saudi Arabia’s hosting of the 2034 FIFA World Cup and the Asian Games, by which time most sports-related assets will be completed, with the city continuing to expand thereafter.
According to Argaam data, Qiddiya City is the first project developed by QIC. Built entirely from scratch around the concept of the “power of play,” it is a new global destination for entertainment, sports, and culture located at the heart of Tuwaiq Mountains, just 40 minutes away from Riyadh.
The Qiddiya project was officially established as an independent entity in May 2018 under the name Qiddiya Investment Co., wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and governed by Saudi laws.
