The Council of Ministers approved today, Jan. 13, in a session chaired by King Salman bin Abdulaziz, an amendment to the Commercial Franchise Law.

The amendment waives a specific requirement within the law for certain franchisors and franchisees. This exemption will be implemented based on a set of criteria outlined in the Cabinet decision, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The council also approved several memorandums of understanding across multiple sectors.
