Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef held a series of bilateral meetings with ministers and government officials on the sidelines of the fifth Future Minerals Forum (FMF) in Riyadh.
These meetings focused on expanding mining cooperation, advancing strategic investment partnerships, enhancing industrial integration, and strengthening global supply chains in line with Vision 2030.
Alkhorayef met with Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade Sheikh Ahmad Mohammed Al Sayed to discuss boosting bilateral cooperation in industry and mineral resources and supporting industrial integration between the two countries.
The Minister also held talks with Morocco’s Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development Leila Benali on expanding mining partnerships and cooperation to improve Saudi exports’ access to African markets.
During a meeting with Chile’s Minister of Mining Aurora Williams, Alkhorayef reviewed prospects for joint development in the mining sector and opportunities in mineral exploration, stressing the importance of growing joint investments and exchanging technical expertise.
Separately, Alkhorayef discussed expanding Saudi-Canadian partnerships with Claude Guay, parliamentary secretary to Canada’s minister of energy and natural resources, noting Canadian firms’ lead in securing mineral exploration licenses in the Kingdom and cooperation on financing solutions and mining technologies.
