The General Authority for Foreign Trade (GAFT) initiated today, Jan. 22, an anti-dumping investigation into imports of epoxy resins originating in or exported from China, India, Korea, and Taiwan.

According to the authority’s statement, the decision follows the Trade Remedies Law, enacted on Nov. 23, 2022. The law empowers GAFT to conduct investigations, perform reviews, and impose measures in accordance with Saudi Arabia’s international commitments and pacts.

The law aims to protect the domestic industry from injury caused by dumped and subsidized imports, prevent import surges, and defend the Kingdom’s exports facing similar trade remedy measures abroad.
