The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) has submitted a draft amendment to the executive regulations of the Real Estate Registration Law for public consultation via the "Estitlaa" platform.

The draft regulations include the addition and amendment of a number of articles and paragraphs, the updating of some definitions, the regulation of the periods of absolute validity of the first registration, and developing mechanisms for publishing lists of registered real estate, in addition to regulating the procedures for objections and annotations in legal proceedings, and defining the powers of the real estate registrar in documenting subsequent transactions, said the authority.

It indicated that the draft regulations aim to enhance the efficiency of real estate registration procedures, improve the accuracy of the real estate registry, and clarify a number of regulatory and procedural provisions, as part of its efforts to develop the real estate legislative system, enhance transparency, and preserve rights, thereby supporting the growth of the real estate market.

The regulations also aim to organize and update real estate registration procedures to ensure the accuracy of ownership data, protect rights, reduce real estate disputes, and increase the efficiency and reliability of real estate transactions.
