US natural gas stocks decline at smallest pace since December 2025

US natural gas inventories decreased as expected in the week ended Feb. 20, marking the smallest withdrawal since December 2025, according to data released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Feb. 26.

What does this mean? This pace of withdrawals from natural gas storage remained subdued last week, as warmer weather across much of the United States reduced heating demand.
