Prime Minister Jafar Hassan issued a directive today, March 30, to rationalize consumption and control spending in all government institutions, official departments, and public agencies amid current circumstances.
According to the Jordan News Agency, the directive prohibits the use of government vehicles except for official purposes, bans their use outside official working hours, and cancels all previous approvals and exemptions in this regard.
The measures also include suspending travel of official delegations and committees abroad for two months from the date of the directive, except in cases of extreme necessity with prior approval from the Prime Minister, and halting the hosting of official delegations for the same period.
The directive further prohibits the use of air conditioners and any other heating devices in ministries, public institutions, and government departments.
