Rima Almedaires, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Economy and Planning


Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim appointed Rima Almedaires as the official spokesperson for the ministry, in addition to her current professional duties.

 

The decision aligns with the Cabinet’s directive requiring ministries, and government entities to appoint official spokespersons, with the aim of strengthening communication with the public and media inquiries, according to the ministry’s statement.

 

Almedaires is currently a Senior Corporate Communications Advisor at the Ministry of Economy and Planning. She has previously served as a diplomat at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Department of Saudis Affairs Abroad.

 

She has held various roles in media affairs across several government entities, including the Public Investment Fund (PIF), the Finance Track Program under the G20 Saudi Presidency, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources.

Almedaires holds a master's degree in media and a bachelor's degree in English literature from King Saud University.
