Saudi Arabia's Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) turned negative on Thursday, closing 0.4 percent, or 34 points lower at 8,879.
The value of traded shares neared SAR 10.9 billion.
SABIC slid over 2 percent to SAR 86.29. Al-Rajhi and National Commercial Bank declined almost 1 percent.
Saudi Telecom, Savola, Zain KSA, Albilad, Yansab and Petro Rabigh dropped between 1 and 5 percent.
Mobily also headed south, with a fall of over 2 percent to end at a five-year low of SAR 36.99.
