Switzerland to handle Saudi consular affairs in Iran

Switzerland will take care of Saudi Arabia’s consular affairs in Iran, including managing Iranian pilgrims coming to the kingdom, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al Jubair told a joint press conference with his Swiss counterpart.

 

Saudi Arabia cut diplomatic ties with Iran after Iranian protesters attacked the Saudi consulate following the execution of Nimr Al-Nimr, a Saudi cleric.
