Saudi Telecom Company (STC) has selected Juniper Networks Co. to expand its fixed and mobile Internet backbone with the aim of providing more access to ultra-high speed Internet across the Middle East.
The objective is to expand service and access to the telco’s 3G, 4G and fixed subscribers in the region, enabling STC to meet growing demand and customer needs, the US-based provider of network solutions said in a statement.
Earlier this year, Saudi Arabia’s largest telco said it would expand and upgrade its submarine cable network, which is designed to boost scalability and speed of Internet services.
