Petro Rabigh awards SAIPEM SAR 782 mln contract

Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Company (Petro Rabigh) has awarded SAIPEM Co a SAR 782 million contract to construct facilities at its Rabigh 2 project, Petro Rabigh said in a statement.

 

The 30-month contract also includes building the facilities of the Vanadium treatment unit, which has a capacity of 3,240 cubic meters a day, and the caustic soda treatment unit.

 

In December last year, the company said that the total cost of Rabigh 2 had increased to SAR 31 billion from SAR 30 billion, and completion of the construction work would be delayed to September 2016.
