Arabian Cement extends Rabigh mining permit

Arabian Cement Co. said that it has extended its mining permit in Rabigh city for another 30 years to extract raw materials that will be used in cement production.

 

The permit was renewed July 14, 2016 by a royal decree, the company said in a bourse statement.

 

Arabian Cement was established in 1955 as the kingdom’s first cement producer. The company started production in 1956 through its Jeddah plant before replacing it in 1984 with its Rabigh plant.
