Saudi Arabia’s Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) on Tuesday decided to stop the sale of unlimited internet packages for prepaid subscribers.
The move came amid efforts to rationalize internet usage, reduce pressure on networks and help operators maintain the high quality of their services, the telecommunications regulator added in a statement.
Various packages and promotions are subject to CITC’s regulatory procedures, while certain packages can be either canceled or modified by operators, CITC said.
