Italian oil and gas contractor Saipem has been awarded extensions of pre-existing contracts in Saudi Arabia’s onshore drilling sector, it said on Tuesday.
The company has won a three-year extension to activities relating to six medium-sized onshore drilling rigs already operating in the kingdom, it said in a statement.
“This is in addition to extensions of equal duration announced in September 2016 in relation to 10 rigs,” Saipem added.
Elsewhere in the MENA region, the firm bagged a four-month extension to a contract in Morocco for onshore drilling and workover services.
