Volvo Car Group has appointed Nahwasharq Co. Ltd. as its official importer in Saudi Arabia, the leading automotive firm said in a statement on Tuesday.
Nahwasharq will be operational in May 2018 to offer a complete sales and aftersales services at its showroom in Riyadh, the statement said.
“We now have a complete dealer network for the Middle East, with which we expect to significantly grow our market share in the region. Nahwasharq has a great deal of experience that can help us do that,” said Jesus Fernandez de Mesa, Volvo Car Group’s Managing Director, Importers EMEA.
Both firms plan to expand their outreach with a new location in Dammam as of Q4 this year and a showroom in Jeddah by 2019, the statement added.
Volvo Cars aim to have up to 1 million electrified Volvos on the road and to have climate-neutral manufacturing operations by 2025. In addition, it plans to launch an ambitious safety vision in the industry by 2020, which resonates with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
