Al-Etihad Cooperative Insurance Co. reported a loss of SAR 75.6 million for the first half of 2025, compared to a profit of SAR 52.1 million during the same period in 2024.

The company recorded losses during the current period because of an 18% decline in insurance revenue as a result of lower earned premiums from the motor and health insurance segments.

 

It also reported a decrease in reinsurance recoveries and a decline in investment income.

 

This was partially offset by a reduction in insurance service expenses.
