National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) reported a net profit decline of 14.2% to SAR 1.45 billion in the nine-month period ended Sept. 30, 2025, from SAR 1.69 billion in the year-earlier period.

The lower net profit was attributed to a decline of SAR 182 million in revenues, due to lower global shipping rates across several business segments. Chemical shipping revenue fell by SAR 287 million, while dry bulk shipping revenue decreased by SAR 72 million compared with the same period last year.
Gross profit also decreased by SAR 202 million. The chemical shipping gross profit declined by SAR 270 million, and integrated logistics services gross profit decreased by SAR 18 million versus the corresponding period last year.
General and administrative expenses increased by SAR 91 million, while finance costs rose by SAR 48 million compared with the same period last year.
Conversely, oil transportation segment revenues grew by SAR 124 million during the current period versus the corresponding period of last year.
Oil transportation gross profit increased by SAR 97 million, driven by improved operational performance in the segment compared with the same period last year.
Additionally, the company’s profit shares from equity-accounted investees rose by SAR 187 million during the current period compared with the same period last year.

The third-quarter net earnings edged up 0.9% to SAR 513.4 million, from SAR 509 million in Q3 2024, thanks to better revenues.
Compared to Q2 2025, net earnings increased by 26% from SAR 407.4 million.
Total shareholders’ equity, after minority interest, stood at SAR 14.28 billion as of Sept. 30, 2025, up from SAR 13.11 billion a year earlier.
