The company attributed the decline in losses to higher revenues from the retail and education segments.
It also cited a rise in other income by approximately SAR 928,000, as well as the addition of investment activity in the investment portfolio during the current year, which resulted in profits amounting to SAR 4 million.
The share of results from associates during the current year grew by nearly SAR 9.3 million compared with a year earlier.
This was in addition to a decrease in the impairment loss in trade receivables and other debit balances by approximately SAR 1.6 million.
However, this was offset by lower revenues from the production segment due to the lack of acquisition of major projects during the current year, as well as a decline in the advertising segment due to the expiry of some contracts with suppliers.
Selling and marketing expenses increased by SAR 3.3 million. Depreciation expenses also rose by SAR 2.1 million compared with a year before, while variable and short-term lease expenses grew by SAR 1.3 million.
