Digital Research Co. (DRC) reported a net loss of SAR 3.5 million for H1 2025, against a profit of SAR 3.2 million a year earlier.

The company reported a 15.65% decline in revenues during H1 2025, as government business revenues fell by 17.05%, while private business revenues grew by 11.54%.

 

According to the company, the overall decline was attributed to the completion of certain multi-year projects, in addition to progress on the execution of new and ongoing projects according to scheduled milestones and contractual requirements.

 

In addition, DRC witnessed an increase in cost of revenues by SAR 1.67 million (9.25%), general and administrative expenses by SAR 1.71 million (36.10%), and Zakat expenses by SAR 0.13 million (37.04%).

 

This was despite a decrease in selling and marketing expenses by SAR 0.61 million (67.22%), financing costs by SAR 0.34 million (46.83%), and an increase in other income by SAR 0.23 million (109.02%).

 

Additional Information:

 

Shareholders’ equity (with no minority interest) amounted to SAR 33.87 million by the end of H1 2025, compared to SAR 20.52 million in H1 2024.

 

The loss per share for the current period stood at SAR 2.24 per share, calculated by dividing net income over the weighted average number of shares.
