Amana Insurance loses SAR 13.3M in 2025, SAR 5M in Q4

Amana Cooperative Insurance Co. incurred a net loss of SAR 13.3 million in 2025, against net earnings of SAR 12 million a year earlier.

Net insurance service result declined by SAR 24.4 million due to higher insurance service expenses and reinsurance ceded premiums.

 

Net investment income also fell by SAR 1.1 million.

 

Other operating expenses rose by SAR 0.5 million, and Zakat provision increased by SAR 2.1 million. In addition, premium debtors' provision grew by SAR 3.9 million.

 

Meanwhile, insurance revenue increased by 33% (SAR 69.5 million) YoY, mainly due to a rise in net insurance finance income/(expenses) by SAR 0.7 million.

The insurer swung to a net loss of SAR 5 million in Q4 2025 from a net profit of SAR 330,000 a year before.

 

Quarter-on-quarter, the company narrowed its net loss from SAR 8.02 million in Q3 2025.
