Saudi National Bank (SNB) reported a net profit rise of 7% to SAR 6.42 billion in Q1 2026, compared to SAR 6.02 billion in the year-earlier period.

Special commission income rose 3.1% to SAR 14.8 billion due to a 4.4% increase in special commission income from financing.

 

Further, total operating income inched up 0.4% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 9.7 billion, while total operating expenses fell 19.4% YoY on lower rent and premises-related expenses.

 

The bank also cited a 10.4% decline in depreciation/amortisation of property, equipment, software and right of use assets expenses along with a decrease of SAR 609 million in the net impairment charge for expected credit losses.

On a quarterly basis, net earnings inched up 0.6% from SAR 6.38 billion in Q4 2025.

 

Total shareholders’ equity, excluding minority interest and sukuk, reached SAR 192.7 billion by March 31, 2026, compared to SAR 172.2 billion in a year earlier period.
