Riyad Bank reported a 5% increase in net profit to SAR 2.61 billion in the first quarter of 2026, compared with SAR 2.49 billion in Q1 2025.

The lender said higher operating income, driven by growth in trading income and net special commission income, supported the increase despite declines in other revenue streams.

 

Expenses declined on lower credit loss provisions and operating costs, with net expected credit losses falling 23.9%, partly offset by higher investment impairments and staff costs.

 

Riyad Bank’s net profit slipped about 1% from SAR 2.64 billion in Q4 2025.
