This was attributed to an increase in operating losses of subsidiaries and a decrease in returns on time deposits.
However, revenues grew in H1 2025 compared with the same period of 2024. This was driven by the commercial activity of Sado Al Arab Co. that began on June 1, 2024 and did not include revenues for the brokerage company, as commercial activity began in July 2024, while the current period included the revenues of both companies for a full six months.
The second-quarter net earnings dropped 80% to SAR 318,000 from SAR 1.59 million in Q2 2024, hurt by a decrease in time deposit returns as a result of strengthening subsidiaries.
On a sequential basis, the company turned to net earnings from a loss of SAR 5.65 million in Q1 2025.
