Saudi Aramco Base Oil Co. (Luberef) posted a net profit of SAR 466.7 million for the first half of 2025, down from SAR 537.9 million in the year-earlier period.

The six-month net profit was hurt by a year-on-year (YoY) decline in revenues, due to lower base oil sales volumes, as well as a decrease in the prices and volumes of byproducts.

 

Moreover, Luberef reported by-product crack margins, and a decrease in base oil sales volumes despite better crack margins.

In Q2 2025, net earnings dipped 18% to SAR 245.2 million, from SAR 298.84 million in the year earlier period.   


Compared to Q1 2025, net earnings rose by 10.7% from SAR 221.51 million.


Total shareholders’ equity, no minority interest, reached SAR 4.33 billion as of June 30, 2025, down from SAR 4.56 billion a year earlier.
