The company attributed higher profits to a 5.6% rise in total special commission income and a 4.6% increase in net special commission income (NSCI), driven by higher financing and investment returns.
Operating income also grew due to higher NSCI, dividend income, and gains on non-trade investments, partly offset by lower fee, commission, and foreign exchange income.
Additionally, net provisions for financing and other financial assets declined by 12.1%, mainly due to lower provisions for other financial assets and expected credit losses (ECL) on loans and advances.
In Q1 2026, BSF’s net earnings climbed by 3.2% from SAR 1.33 billion in Q1 2025.
On a quarterly basis, net profit grew 9.6% from SAR 1.26 billion in Q4 2025.
