The decrease in net profit was mainly due to higher prices of raw materials, particularly paper, in the local and international markets, compared to the same period last year, leading to increased revenue costs.
However, this was partly offset by an increase in volume and finance income earned on short-term deposits year-on-year (YoY). Revenue also grew by 3.4% YoY, primarily due to higher sales volume.
The third-quarter bottom line fell 44% to SAR 20.6 million from SAR 36.76 million in Q3 2024, due to higher prices of raw materials, particularly paper, in the local and global markets.
