Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG) incurred a net loss of SAR 366.3 million in 2025, versus a net profit of SAR 201.7 million a year earlier.

Revenues declined by 18.09% year-on-year (YoY) in 2025, mainly due to lower revenues from the public relations and advertising as well as the printing and packaging segments. This is in addition to a fall in the full-year gross profit on lower revenues from certain operating segments.

 

SRMG also reported an increase in the expected credit losses provision on trade receivables, and incurred losses from the impairment of goodwill and property, plant, equipment, totaling SAR 132.4 million related to the printing and packaging segment.

 

In addition, the group logged higher administrative and marketing expenses related to certain new projects, mainly the broadcasting of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, ROSHN Saudi League, the Saudi Super Cup and the Saudi League First Division.

 

In Q4 2025, losses deepened to SAR 357.1 million, compared with SAR 115.05 million a year earlier.

 

Sequentially, the group widened its three-month losses from SAR 30.43 million in Q3 2025.
