Saudi Paper H1 2025 profit down 44% to SAR 34.6M; Q2 at SAR 13.9M

Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co. (SPM) reported a net profit of SAR 34.6 million for the first six months of 2025, a drop of 44% from SAR 62.3 million in the year-earlier period.

The company attributed the drop in H1 2025 earnings to lower profit margins from raw material price fluctuations, as well as other losses of SAR 8.8 million from foreign exchange differences. It added that H1 2024 results included higher other income by SAR 3.7 million.

 

These factors were partly offset by higher revenue from increased sales of downstream products.

In Q2 2025, Saudi Paper’s net profit stood at SAR 13.90 million, a 47% decline from SAR 26 million, mainly due to other losses of SAR 6.05 million from foreign exchange differences.

 

On a sequential basis, net earnings dropped by 32.8% from SAR 20.68 million in Q1 2025.

 

Total shareholders’ equity, after excluding minority interest, stood at SAR 547.83 million by June 30, 2025, compared to SAR 517.85 million a year earlier.
