Nama Chemicals Co. reported a wider net loss of SAR 49.5 million in the first quarter of 2025, compared with SAR 29.7 million a year earlier, as revenue declined on lower production.

The company said the quarterly performance was also impacted by a drop in other income, despite lower cost of sales, selling and distribution expenses, general and administrative costs, and financing charges.

 

On a sequential basis, Nama Chemicals swung to a loss from a net profit of SAR 41.03 million in Q4 2024.

 

Total shareholders’ equity, no minority interest, reached SAR 194.63 million as of March 31, 2025, compared to SAR 204.36 million a year earlier.

 

Accumulated losses by March 31, 2025, reached 43.74 million, representing 18.6% of capital.
