SARCO loses SAR 22.1M in 9M 2025, earns SAR 1.6M in Q3

Saudi Arabia Refineries Co. (SARCO) reported a net loss of SAR 22.1 million for the first nine months of 2025, compared to a net profit of SAR 17 million in the same period a year earlier.

The shift to losses was mainly due to lower revenue, driven by a decrease in dividend income from equity investments in the company’s portfolio, alongside higher zakat provisions and increased operating expenses during the period.

 

These factors were partially offset by lower unrealized losses from equity investments and a higher share of profit from associates, particularly from Arabtank Terminals Co. Ltd.

In Q3 2025, SARCO posted a net profit of SAR 1.64 million, compared to a net loss of SAR 14.39 million in Q3 2024. Sequentially, the company also turned profitable from a loss of SAR 25.8 million.

 

Total shareholders’ equity, with no minority interest, stood at SAR 321.39 million by Sept. 30, 2025, down from SAR 379.94 million a year earlier.
