The profit growth was attributed to higher revenues from dividend income, hotel operations, and other operating activities. It also cited a reversal of impairment losses and gains from the sale of an equity-accounted investee. Additionally, finance costs as well as Zakat and tax expenses dropped, while other gains grew.
These gains offset a decline in the company’s share of results from equity-accounted investments, lower gains from the sale of investment properties, decreased finance income, and higher general, administrative, marketing, and operating costs.
