LIVA Insurance Co. reported a net profit of SAR 1.8 million in Q1 2025, falling 60% from SAR 4.6 million in the year-earlier period.

The profit decline was mainly driven by a SAR 7.32 million increase in insurance service expenses due to business growth, as well as a SAR 15.23 million rise in net expenses from reinsurance contracts held during the period.

 

LIVA also saw a SAR 1.26 million decline in its share of profit from the Hajj and Umrah scheme following its discontinuation.

 

However, insurance revenues increased by 13.2%, mainly driven by business growth in saving and protection, as well as property and Casualty business.

On a quarterly basis, net earnings dropped 82.9% from SAR 10.80 million in Q4 2024.

 

Shareholders’ equity, no minority interest, reached SAR 444.90 million as of March 31, 2025, compared to SAR 394.63 million a year earlier.

 

Accumulated losses reached SAR 20.54 million by the end of the current period, representing 5.1% of the company's capital.

 

Accumulated losses reached SAR 50.50 million, accounting for 12.63% of capital, as of March 31, 2024.
