Riyad Bank shareholders to vote on bonus issue, H2 2025 dividend Apr. 5

Shareholders of Riyad Bank will vote on the board’s recommendation to increase the bank’s capital by 33.33% through a bonus share issue during an extraordinary general meeting scheduled for April 5.

 

The proposed increase will be carried out by capitalizing SAR 10 billion from the statutory reserve and retained earnings in equal proportions through a 1-for-3 bonus share issue, raising the bank’s capital to SAR 40 billion.

 

Shareholders will also vote on the board’s recommendation to distribute a cash dividend at 5.5% of capital, or SAR 0.55 per share after zakat, for the second half of 2025.

Reason

Enhance the bank's solvency and maintain its resources in operational activities, thus contributing to the achievement of its strategic goals

 

In a statement to Tadawul, the bank said any fractional shares will be combined into a single portfolio for all shareholders and sold at market price.

 

The proceeds will then be distributed to eligible shareholders, each according to their respective ownership, within a period not exceeding 30 days from the date of determining the new shares eligible for each shareholder.

 

The bank's shareholders will also vote on the payment of a 5.5% dividend (SAR 0.55 per share) for H2 2025.
