Saudi Tadawul Group Holding Co.’s (Tadawul Group) stock hit limit-up today, Jan. 25, as investors await next week’s opening of the Saudi capital market to all categories of foreign investors.
The stock closed 10% higher at SAR 161, with active trading on around 1.6 million shares via transactions worth more than SAR 240 million.
The stock surge came as forecasts suggest that the full opening of the Saudi capital market will help boost liquidity and trading volumes, which should reflect positively on Tadawul Group's revenues.
The Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) is set to open to all categories of non-resident foreign investors as of Feb. 1.
