Saudi Aramco produced 13.2 million barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil in H1 2019, at the same level of H1 2018 production, the company said in a report.

Quantities delivered to refineries rose by 4.6 million barrels per day (bpd), a 2 percent year-on-year increase.

The company has started output increase programs to boost the Marjan and Berri fields’ production capacity by 550,000 barrels per day of Arabian Crude Oil and 2.5 billion standard cubic feet a day (BSCFD) of gas.

The company also plans to expand its Tanajib onshore oil facilities and construct a new gas plant, to include gas treatment and processing, NGL recovery and fractionation, and gas compression facilities.

The Fadhili Gas Plant’s crude processing capacity at the start of operations is expected to reach 2.5 billion cubic feet per day, the company said, adding that the project is on schedule to start operations later in 2019.

The project is expected to become a key component of the company's main gas network and is part of its strategy to significantly increase its gas production.

The company has continued its success in the field of exploration by discovering one gas field and seven reservoirs in addition to four successes in identifying oil and gas reservoirs, the oil company also said.
