10 things to watch on Tadawul today

Here are a few things you need to know as Saudi stocks start trading on Monday.

 

1) Mobile Telecommunication Company Saudi Arabia (Zain KSA) reported a net profit after Zakat and tax of SAR 83 million in the first half of 2021, a fall of 49% year-on-year (YoY).

 

2) Saudi dairy giant, Almarai, reported a net profit after Zakat and tax of SAR 867.9 million for the first half of 2021, a fall of 16% YoY.

 

3) United Wire Factories Co. (Aslak) reported a net profit after Zakat and tax of SAR 30.2 million for the first half of 2021, a 10.6% increase YoY.

 

4) Shareholders of Abdulmohsen Alhokair Group for Tourism and Development approved a 37.64% capital cut to SAR 343 million from SAR 550 million by cancelling 20.7 million shares.

 

5) Yanbu National Petrochemical Co. (Yansab) announced a temporary shutdown of its plants due to a technical failure.

 

6) Savola Group’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Savola Foods Co., signed a binding share purchase agreement (SPA) to acquire 100% of Bayara Holding Limited for $260 million (SAR 975 million).

 

7) Saudi National Bank announced the merger of Samba Capital into NCB Capital.

 

8) Al Hammadi Company for Development and Investment inked an agreement to acquire Gulf Investment Corporation’s (GIC) 35% stake in Sudair Pharmaceutical Company (SPC).

 

9) United Cooperative Assurance Co. received Saudi Central Bank’s (SAMA) approval to use the company's statutory reserve of SAR 31.94 million to cover part of the accumulated losses amounting to SAR 137.02 million, as at the end of Q1 2021.

 

10) Brent crude on Monday declined 3 cents to reach $75.52 per barrel while WTI crude increased 1 cent to reach $74.5/bbl.
