8 things to watch on Tadawul today

Here are a few things you need to know as Saudi stocks start trading on Thursday.

1) State-owned Saudi Aramco started trading on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) from Dec. 11 with the symbol 2222, and a daily price fluctuation limit of 10%.

2) Tadawul announced the fast entry of Saudi Aramco to Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) and Energy Industry Group Index, as of start of trading on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019.

3) Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 0.8%, or 67 points, up on Wednesday to 8,134 points, propelled by the debut of Saudi Aramco.

4) Saudi Aramco's listing on the Tadawul on Dec. 11 will propel Saudi Arabia's bourse into the top 10 largest global stock markets.

5) Tadawul suspended once again trading of National Agricultural Marketing Co. (Thimar) as of Dec. 11, 2019, for not disclosing its Q3 financial statements within the specified period.

6) The General Secretariat of Committees for Resolution of Securities Disputes dismissed the lawsuit filed by Al-Morooj International against Alinma Tokio Marine Co. (Alinma Tokio) regarding a fire in the former’s warehouses.

7) Al Alamiya for Cooperative Insurance Co. received the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority’s (SAMA) final approval for its Group Credit Life product.

8) Brent crude on Thursday gained 27 cents to reach $63.99 per barrel whereas WTI Crude also increased 12 cents to reach $58.88/bbl.
