Saudi Ceramic Co. (Saudi Ceramics) received an official notification from Natural Gas Distribution Co. regarding a temporary suspension of natural gas supplies for eight days, starting from May 1, the company said in a statement to Tadawul.
The move comes on the back of maintenance work in the main supply lines of Saudi Aramco.
As a result, production in Riyadh Second Industrial City factories will halt during this period, and the halt will be used to carry out periodic maintenance.
This will not affect the company's ability to fulfill its obligations towards customers, according to the statement.
The company expects that the financial impact of this suspension will not be material and depends mainly on the actual duration of the supply interruption.
Any financial impact will be reflected in the results of the second quarter of 2022, the firm noted.
