Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co. (Petro Rabigh) announced today, Jan. 23, the gradual start of operation of Phase II units, ahead of the previously set deadline.
In a statement to Tadawul, Petro Rabigh said the turnaround maintenance will ensure the safety and stability of future operations, in addition to reliability of the company's production plants and improved efficiency.
The maintenance is the first of its kind in the units of Phase II. It will not affect the production operations of Phase I.
The financial impact of the turnaround cannot be accurately estimated at the time. It will likely show in Q4 2022 and Q1 2023, the company added.
In November 2022, the petrochemical producer announced the scheduled maintenance of Phase II units for a period ranging between 12 and 57 days, based on each unit’s schedule as of Dec. 1, 2022, Argaam earlier reported.
