Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Aramco) said that GE Oil & Gas has completed the first six high-efficiency gas compression trains for the first phase of Saudi Aramco’s Master Gas System expansion project in Dammam.
These trains, which were assembled locally in Dammam, is part of a multi-million dollar contract to provide 18 high-efficiency gas compression trains, Aramco said in a statement. Six more trains will be manufactured for Phase II this year.
This is the first time that high-efficiency compression trains have been manufactured in Saudi Arabia.
Aramco's Master Gas System, one of the world's largest hydrocarbon networks, is a scheme to transfer gas across the kingdom to support industrialization.
