Mohammad Barkindo, OPEC Secretary General

Mohammad Barkindo, OPEC Secretary General, has died at the age of 63, head of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mele Kyari, announced.

 

He indicated that Barkindo died at about 11 pm on Tuesday, July 5.

 

“His death is a great loss to his immediate family, the NNPC, our country Nigeria, the OPEC and the global energy community,” he added.
