Arco Recruitment Co. signed six agreements at a total value of SAR 27 billion to recruit domestic workers from Turkey, Indonesia, Thailand, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Under these agreements, the company will recruit 500,000 domestic workers to fulfill the needs of the local market and future expansions.
These agreements were signed on the sidelines of official visits by the Minister of Commerce and Acting Minister of Media, Majid Alkassabi, and Minister of Investment, Khalid Al-Falih.
The new agreements will raise the number of domestic workers from Thailand and Indonesia to 400,000 by 2030. Moreover, the Kingdom will recruit 100,000 workers from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan over the next seven years.
Arco expected these agreements to create an attractive working environment for local and foreign human resources companies, thanks to the major improvements introduced to many labor laws and regulations to protect the rights of those working in the Saudi human resources market.
The Kingdom’s human resources market has recently witnessed a surge in demand post-COVID and after the announcement of many mega projects in line with Vision 2030.
