The Ministry of Health (MoH) completed the first phase of its transformation by launching health clusters across Saudi Arabia.

The transformation is part of the healthcare sector transformation program, which aims to develop the system, and enhance the quality of care and services in line with Saudi Vision 2030 by restructuring the healthcare sector, thereby improving beneficiary satisfaction and their experience, the ministry said in state-owned Saudi Press Agency reported.

This initiative responds to the Cabinet decision (No. 469), approving the establishment of the Health Holding Co. This company will manage healthcare services through regional health clusters under MoH's supervision.

The launch of health clusters aims to streamline beneficiaries' healthcare journey from primary care to hospital referrals. These clusters, comprising hospitals and care centers, will cater to about a million people each, embodying a modern care model.

Each cluster comprises primary care centers, public hospitals, and specialized services. Beneficiaries can access services efficiently, with the cluster ensuring service flexibility, speed, and satisfaction. It also focuses on population health in its area, conducting periodic health checks and fostering a healthier community.
