Oil tanks
US crude oil inventories gained 1.2 million barrels in the week ended May 31, against forecasts for a 2.1-million-barrel pullback, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) data indicated.
Gasoline stocks, on the other hand, added 2.1 million barrels, with distillate stocks, which include diesel and heating oil, also up by 3.2 million barrels.
