The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources addressed over 60 requests regarding the availability and competitiveness of petrochemical raw materials for manufacturing facilities in the Kingdom, through its specialized digital platform.
The ministry explained in a statement that this comes within the framework of its efforts to boost the integration of petrochemical supply chains locally.
The platform helped supply the sector's factories, which face challenges due to the abundance of locally offered raw materials, with over 100,000 metric tons (MT) of petrochemical raw materials, according to the ministry's official spokesperson, Jarrah Aljarrah.
He stressed that the ministry seeks to find solutions to existing demands related to the availability and competitiveness of raw materials. In addition, the ministry is working with the manufacturing and basic companies as well as relevant government agencies to ensure the availability and competitiveness of petrochemical raw materials.
