Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Tabuk Province, inaugurated today the operational phase of the city’s public bus transport project.

According to SPA, the operation includes a modern urban transport network covering five main routes spanning 136 kilometers. The network will be operated by 30 modern buses driven by 90 qualified Saudi drivers, stopping at 106 stations throughout the city. These routes connect Tabuk’s most prominent sites, making daily transit easier for locals and tourists.

The project is the Kingdom’s first implementation of electric buses within a public transportation network, which account for 25% of the total bus fleet. It reflects the move toward sustainable transportation and reduction of carbon emissions, making Tabuk the first Saudi city to operate electric buses as part of the public transport system.
