Luberef expects the financial impact of the 45-day shutdown to appear in Q4 2025

Saudi Aramco Base Oil Co. (Luberef) will start scheduled maintenance at its Yanbu facility on Nov. 15, temporarily halting operations for about 45 days.

The Yanbu plant, which produces Group I and II base oils, will undergo maintenance as part of Luberef’s efforts to maintain operational standards, adopt industry best practices, and meet international safety requirements.

The company said sales will continue from existing inventory, while its Jeddah facility, producing Group I base oils, will operate at full capacity to ensure supply continuity.

Luberef noted that the financial impact is not yet assessable but is expected to appear in Q4 2025 results. Further updates will be announced as necessary.
