Alkhorayef says the growth in industrial facilities contributed to a record high in non-oil exports in 2024, reaching SAR 515 billion.
Saudi Arabia’s industrial establishments have risen by more than 65% since the launch of Vision 2030, increasing from 7,200 factories in 2016 to more than 12,000 in 2025, with investments exceeding SAR 1.2 trillion, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bander Alkhorayef said.
In opening remarks at Industrial Transformation Saudi Arabia 2025, the minister said this growth helped drive non-oil exports to a record SAR 515 billion in 2024, up 13% year-on-year and more than 113% since Vision 2030 was introduced.
He added that the indicators reflect the diversification of the national economy and underscore the competitiveness of Saudi industrial products.
Alkhorayef also announced the launch of the Advanced Manufacturing and Production Center (AMPC), which will serve as an umbrella for all programs and initiatives supporting industrial transformation in the Kingdom. Among them is the Future Factories Program Initiative, aimed at accelerating the adoption of advanced technologies, embedding operational excellence, and boosting productivity across national industries. The program targets more than 4,000 factories for transformation into smart facilities supported by automation and modern technologies.
