Saudi Minister of Finance, Mohammed Al-Jadaan, said the achievement rates across the Saudi Vision 2030’s key performance indicators (KPIs) point to a tangible realization of its targets.

“Ten years after launching Vision 2030, 93% of KPIs have either been achieved or are on the right track,” said Al-Jadaan during a panel discussion on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2026.

A total of 269 indicators has surpassed their predefined timelines, while 254 others are progressing as per their scheduled timelines.

The resilience of the Saudi financial sector underscores the achievement of the Saudi Vision 2030’s targets while maintaining robust reserves, said Al-Jadaan, noting that Saudi reserves grew by 22% between 2022-2025 despite budget deficits during that period.

Visions and reforms often fail not because they are inherently wrong, but due to delays in execution, said Al-Jadaan, stressing that reforms must be pursued consistently once initiated.

For reforms to be sustainable, they should evolve from mere policies and programs into a fundamental shift in the institutional behavior of both markets and individuals until they become the “new normal”.

Continuous reform is impossible without building market credibility. This credibility stems from realism, maintaining fiscal discipline, and refocusing resources where they have the greatest impact.

He concluded by stressing the importance of third-party validation, such as IMF consultative reviews, to ensure that the credit ratings and reserves remain sustainable in the long term.
